Groups and Travelers at Lone Star Gun Range

 

For the past 18 years, Lone Star Gun Range has welcomed groups and travelers from all over the world. We cater to people who are renting our firearms and go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable with a firearm before you start shooting live ammo. Each rental firearm comes with a brief lesson from one of our highly trained staff members at no additional cost.

 

Regardless of whether you are an individual shooter, or a large group, we can get you set up with a firearm that meets your expectations. We have over 120 firearms available to rent with a cost of only $10 per rental plus the cost of ammo. Ammo prices fluctuate so frequently that we do not list those prices.


We have numerous make and models from the major firearm manufacturers. We can accommodate your preferences for handguns, rifles, shotguns, and even the Barrett 50 cal.

 

We do require a valid form of identification to rent one of our firearms (passport, driver’s license, state Identification) regardless of state or country of origin.

 

We always accept “walk ins”, but for large groups we do like advance notice that you will be coming in. Text is normally the best form of communication for us. You can send us a message at 512-801-2624.


WHAT TO EXPECT
Every person who wishes to shoot on our range is required to read through our range instructions.
After that, we will give a brief range safety presentation to make sure you understand what is expected of you while on our property.
Once we have determined what firearms you are looking to shoot, we will give that brief lesson that was mentioned earlier. This should take about 15 minutes.


COST
That is completely up to you. It all depends on how many different firearms you plan on shooting, and how much ammo you plan to send down range.

  • Day Pass - $23.00 per person
  • Rental - $10.00 per firearm
  • Ammo – Ranges depending on caliber and quantity. Usually about $30-$50 per box of 50 bullets.
  • Hearing/Eye protection – you are more than welcome to bring your own hearing and eye protection, but if you need it from us:
  • Ear Plugs - $1.00 per pair
  • Over the Ear Protection - $15.00 per pair
  • Eye Protection - $3.00 per pair


FOOD
The BBQ Capitol of Texas is only 7 minutes away. Most travelers and groups plan BBQ in Lockhart around their time shooting at the range.

 

We are only 20 minutes from the AIBA airport and Circuit of the Americas COTA. We are about 30 minutes from Austin.
