Our classes are held onsite at 3795 Dry creek road in Lockhart Texas.
There are many companies that have opened with similar names. Please double check to make sure that you ARE taking your class with us in Lockhart and not at these other facilities that are not affiliated with Lone Star Gun range.
This class is transferable but not refundable.

Battlefield Basics with Will - $50

You will be instructed on how to disassemble, reassemble, clean, load and unload the AR 15. You will also receive instruction on the fundamentals of marksmanship as well as the 8 cycles of function. We will also go over zeroing procedures for standard iron sights. The class will be conducted in two parts: the first will be in the classroom and the second will be out on the range putting the skills just learned to the test.

Transitional Tactics with Will - $125
August 25 at 10am till about 2:00pm

This class is the second step in learning how to enter and clear a room. The drills that will be conducted are the foundation for room clearing procedures and is mandatory for the lvl III class. Walking, up/down drills, transition drills, low ready position/ high ready position, target discrimination, and controlled pair firing vs. double tap are all parts of the topics of instruction. This class will require the use of an AR 15 with a sling as well as a strong side hip or thigh mounted sidearm. The sidearm is not a deal breaker, so if you don’t have one, no worries.
If you wish to take this class with a pistol only you may do so. However, a certain level of understanding as noted below must be demonstrated to the instructor. In order to take this class, you will have to have already taken the lvl I class or be able to demonstrate a certain level of knowledge with the AR15. This can only be done prior to any lvl II class with the instructor by appointment only.
300 Rounds of rifle, 150 for pistol or if you are doing pistol only, you need 200 rounds

Combat Clearing Techniques with Will - $275
September 21 at 10am till about 2:00pm
This class is the culmination of all AR series classes. Using all elements learned in previous classes, you will be instructed on room clearing procedures by yourself and with a team. The skills learned in this class can be utilized in all situations from the Zombie Apocalypse to coming home and finding your front door open. Since this class takes place in an actual house located at the range, personal firearms will not be permitted in this class. We will be using realistic functioning training devices. Students will need to bring their own eye protection.
Please bring quick snacks. We will not be stopping for lunch.

Bring pistol (if you have it), 50 rounds ammo (if you have it), your ID, and clothes appropriate for the weather while shooting. When you sign up for this class the PayPal receipt is your confirmation, you will not get a separate email. We are usually done with class no later than 4:00. If you want to bring a sack lunch, we do not break for lunch.

Basic Shotgun Class - with Mike - $50
From 9am until 2ish
Bring snacks or lunch.
If you have your own shotgun bring it. If not, don't worry about it we will loan you one. Please bring 50 rounds of bird shot shells. If you do not have them we do.
This class will provide hands on instruction on how to disassemble, clean, lubricate, reassemble, load, and unload a standard pump action or semi-automatic shotgun. We will discuss other shotgun platforms, but our main focus will be on the two listed above.
You will also receive instruction on marksmanship, and learn the benefits of the different types of “Chokes” and ammo used in these platforms. The instructor will provide a live fire demonstration of different types of ammo and chokes for a visible shotgun pattern to fit your needs.
Our instructor will also cover “use of force” laws, and how they pertain to personal defense in Texas. He will go over different Home Defense tactics related to shotguns as well.
Students will then get to put their shotgun knowledge to use on our trap range.
Whether you plan on using your shotgun for hunting or personal defense, this class will be a perfect building block for your firearm knowledge.
