In 2005, Joseph Matt Billingsley opened Central Texas Protection Training Academy for law enforcement and private security training. In 2007, he opened Lone Star Gun Range to the public. Matt's goal was to provide a fun safe environment for all walks of life to have a great shooting experience. His passion was to teach new and novice shooters the best way to further their firearms knowledge and skills. Matt passed away at the age of 42, his wife Sandy, close friends, and colleagues strive to continue his legacy. Our staff has a wide range of experience and is willing and able to help in all capacities. As a small, family, and locally owned business, we strive to make your experience with us safe as well as pleasant and memorable. We hope that you will keep coming back to help us grow.
